About the DSID
The Data for Solutions to Internal Displacement (DSID) Initiative focuses on supporting collective efforts to enable more robust and joined-up data systems for solutions. This aims to facilitate strategy, policy and programme development towards government-led solutions, supported by the UN and partners.
Additionally, the global DSID Working Group brings together data actors in presenting emerging methodological recommendations. It facilitates technical and coordination support to RCOs and UNCTs in response to requests received through the Global Solutions Hub.
The global Working Group is co-chaired by IOM and UNDP, with members including UNHCR, the UNHCR-World Bank Joint Data Center (JDC) on Forced Displacement, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the Internal Displacement Monitoring Center (IDMC), the Joint IDP Profiling Service (JIPS), and IMPACT Initiatives.
