See how catalytic capital turns nationally led solutions into opportunities for investment at scale.
OUR WORK
Our Impact so far: US$168 mobilised for every US$1 invested
These results demonstrate the IDSF’s role as a catalytic bridge between immediate humanitarian response to forced displa-cement and long-term development investment for blended communities. By strengthening the conditions for larger-scale capital to flow, the Fund helps countries turn displacement from a persistent development challenge into an opportunity for more inclusive, resilient and locally led growth.
WHY THIS MATTERS
A Development Challenge that Demands Strategic Investment
Internal displacement is not only a humanitarian challenge. It is increasingly a development and economic one. As displacement becomes more protracted and urbanised, internally displaced people and host communities increasingly compete for the same housing, labour markets, infrastructure and public services in a rapidly urbanising world. Durable solutions therefore require more than short-term assistance. They require functioning institutions, inclusive markets and sustained investment in housing, jobs, educa-tion, healthcare and essential infrastructure.
