DSID 2.0 Terms of Reference

The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Internal Displacement report (2021) and subsequent Action Agenda (2022) acknowledge the central role of high-quality data in advancing solutions to internal displacement. Effective public policies and responses are impossible without fully understanding the extent and impact of displacement. They specifically call for government-led data systems to ensure nationally owned prioritization and action on internal displacement and local, national and international data partners to support these efforts and fill in the gaps where necessary in data collection, analysis and monitoring with an intent to transition to national systems.
